The National Collaborating Centre for Women’s and Children’s Health (NCC-WCH) is a friendly and enthusiastic team. We are funded by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) to produce evidence-based clinical guidelines for the National Health Service. We work collaboratively with Guideline Development Groups (including healthcare professionals and lay representatives) and an extensive range of stakeholder organisations. The Centre is based at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).

We have published guidelines on Antenatal care, Fertility, Caesarean section, Type 1 diabetes in children, and Long-acting reversible contraception. Our current work programme includes guidelines on:
• Intrapartum care
• Heavy menstrual bleeding
• Urinary incontinence • Diabetes in pregnancy
• Induction of labour (update)
• Antenatal care (update)
• Urinary tract infection in children
• Feverish illness in children
